CIC Services Boosts EnviroCap with Auto, Comp, and General Liability Additions
CIC Services and Environmental Risk Managers (ERMI) have enhanced their EnviroCap captive insurance program in response to ongoing challenges in the commercial insurance market.
In a recent article published by Captive International, CIC Services highlights that commercial insurance premiums have risen for 29 consecutive quarters, and liability coverage has become more limited due to exclusions and tighter underwriting. Originally launched in 2021 to help businesses manage environmental risks, EnviroCap now includes auto liability, workers’ compensation, and general liability in addition to environmental coverage. This expansion gives business owners greater control over their insurance through a captive insurance structure, which allows them to essentially build their own insurance company tailored to their needs.
The program is particularly beneficial for middle-market companies in high-risk or highly regulated industries, such as contractors, manufacturers, and waste management firms. It is backed by an AM Best “A”-rated carrier and provides a strategic alternative to traditional insurance, which many business owners find increasingly costly and inadequate.
