CIC Services’ Dylan Lawhorn Earns ACI Designation

We are very pleased to announce that CIC Services, LLC’s Senior Account Manager, Dylan Lawhorn, has earned his Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation from the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE).

Founded in 2004, the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) offers the only comprehensive captive insurance education program in North America. ICCIE’s courses are globally relevant, applicable to all domiciles, and its professional designations are recognized and respected throughout the international captive insurance industry.

Dylan’s accreditation marks another important milestone in CIC Services’ ongoing commitment to excellence and continuous improvement as a captive manager. Since joining the firm in 2023, Dylan has consistently demonstrated his dedication to professional growth, earning a promotion to Senior Account Manager earlier this year.

As part of its ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, CIC Services, LLC has been formally approved as a captive manager in the state of Tennessee. The Tennessee Department of Insurance is known for its rigorous standards, setting a high benchmark for captive managers operating within the state.

As part of the approval process, state regulators thoroughly reviewed and “white-listed” the reinsurance arrangement CIC Services uses to support small captives. In addition, Tennessee’s Department of Insurance independently verifies all actuarial work involved in the formation and operation of captives—adding a valuable layer of oversight that enhances the overall compliance profile of Tennessee-domiciled captives.

Collaborating with the Tennessee Department of Insurance has further strengthened CIC Services’ operational integrity and supports its ongoing pursuit of excellence in captive management.
